DHI Hair Transplantation

DHI Hair Transplantation Technique

It is considered as a separate hair transplantation method because DHI Hair Transplantation Technique involves different stages of transplantation from FUE Hair Transplantation Technique. DHI Hair Transplantation Technique is also known as Unshaved Hair Transplantation.

Unlike FUE Hair Transplantation Technique, DHI Hair Transplantation Technique is the process of opening and transplanting hair follicles using implant / Choi pen at the same time. In FUE Hair Transplantation Technique, channel opening and transplantation are separate processes. The needle of the Implanter / Choi pen has a very thin, cylindrical and sharp tip. This cylindrical tip implanter / Choi pen needle is in the form of a channel. The hair is inserted through the needle of the implanter / Choi pen and placed on the needle. The reason why the DHI technique is also called the Choi Pen method is because of the nature of this needle.

Application of DHI Method

After the hair follicles (grafts) collected in the DHI Hair Transplantation Technique performed with Choi / implanter pen are separated, they are placed one by one into the pen. This should be placed very carefully in the Choi / implanter pen. Here, the assistants who make the placement in the Choi implanter pen give each hair follicle to the specialist for transplanting the hair follicles.

At this point, expert sows the hair follicles with the most appropriate angles. Another important point besides the angle is the right direction. Hair to be planted should be made according to the direction of the hair growth of the patient.

The angle and direction of the hair root placed in the Choi / implanter pen is determined correctly and the hair implantation is performed with the pushing feature of the needle. 10 to 15 Choi pen is used in an operation. The tips of the Choi implanter pencils may be of different sizes. The reason for this is the thickness of the hair and the structure of the hair root.
